Work with Mygreenscape
MyGreenScape is a houseplant shop based in Richmond Hill. We ship plants across Canada, run local delivery around the GTA, put together plants for weddings and events, and help customers in person at our shop on Yonge Street.

Current openings
Plant Shop Associate
- Pay: Starting at $17.95/hour
- Hours: 40 hours a week, scheduled around our store hours (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), with a 30-minute lunch each shift
- Location: MyGreenScape, 10737 Yonge Street, Unit 17, Richmond Hill, ON
- Reports to: Store Manager
About the role
You'll keep our plants healthy, get orders out the door and help customers in the shop. Some days you'll be helping a first-time plant owner pick something easy, and other days you'll be prepping a big order for a wedding. It's hands-on work, and no two days look the same.
You don't need to be a plant expert, but you should know your way around common houseplants and genuinely enjoy caring for them. We'll teach you the rest.
What you'll do
- Care for plants in the shop: watering, cleaning leaves, pruning and checking for pests
- Pick, pack and stage online orders for GTA delivery and shipping
- Get pickup orders ready and hand them off to customers
- Help customers in the shop and ring up sales on our POS
- Prep bulk plant orders for weddings, showers and corporate events
- Help with local deliveries
- Receive plant shipments and help with inventory counts
- Help with product photos and social media content
- Pitch in on anything else the Store Manager needs
What we're looking for
- A real love of plants and a good working knowledge of houseplant care
- Friendly and patient with customers, whether they're plant pros or total beginners
- Detail-oriented. Orders need to go out right, and plants need to look their best
- Comfortable juggling a few things at once on busy days
- Enjoys working as part of a team and is open to feedback
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (big plants, soil bags, cases)
Nice to have
- Retail or customer service experience
- Your own transportation for supply pickups and other errands
Schedule
- Weekend availability is required
- You'll need to be available during our busiest times, including sales like Black Friday, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, wedding season and our Wednesday specials

Freelance Content Creator
About the role
We're looking for a freelance content creator to help show off our plants online. You'll shoot photos and short videos of our plants, write captions and plant care posts, and help our social media and website feel fresh and inviting.
This is a good fit if you love plants, have a good eye, and know what makes people stop scrolling.
What you'll do
- Shoot photos and short videos of our plants, the shop and new arrivals
- Create posts, reels and stories for our social media channels
- Write captions, plant care tips and short blog posts
- Create content for our Wednesday specials, sales and seasonal promotions
- Capture our event and wedding plant setups when possible
- Pitch content ideas and plan posts ahead of time
What we're looking for
- A portfolio of photo, video or social media work
- Comfortable shooting and editing on a phone or camera
- Good writing skills and a friendly, natural style
- Interest in plants and plant care
- Reliable with deadlines and able to work independently
- Open to feedback and revisions

Corporate Sales
About the role
We're looking for someone to help grow our corporate and event business. You'll connect with companies, event planners and venues around the GTA, and help them use plants for gifts, offices and events.
You'll be the main contact for these customers, from the first conversation through to the order going out the door.
What you'll do
- Find and reach out to businesses, event planners, wedding planners and venues
- Answer inquiries for corporate gifts and bulk event orders
- Put together quotes and simple proposals
- Follow up with leads and keep in touch with repeat customers
- Work with our shop team to make sure orders are ready on time
- Keep track of leads, quotes and orders
What we're looking for
- Experience in sales, business development or account management
- Comfortable reaching out by phone, email and in person
- Organized, with good follow-up habits
- Friendly and professional with clients
- Interest in plants and the events or corporate gifting space
Nice to have
- Existing contacts with GTA businesses, event planners or venues
- Your own transportation for client visits

The Stromanthe Triostar was the last plant I unwrapped from my second order from mygreenscape.ca. I gasped when I saw this beautiful plant with its long leaves of dark and light pink and green. The underside of the leaves are deep pink. And it has some stripes, especially underneath. She is very healthy and has a few new leaves unfurling. All the plants were packaged up very well. Thanks so much!
