I received my string of turtle today, though I ordered a small one most of the leaves look healthy and happy I kind of wish it had a few more strands but I’m going to work hard to make sure it’s happy and healthy! For winter protection they wrapped it in cotton I’m super happy with all my plants so far!

The Stromanthe Triostar was the last plant I unwrapped from my second order from mygreenscape.ca. I gasped when I saw this beautiful plant with its long leaves of dark and light pink and green. The underside of the leaves are deep pink. And it has some stripes, especially underneath. She is very healthy and has a few new leaves unfurling. All the plants were packaged up very well. How to Fix Common Carnivorous Plant Problems

Normal after trapping and digesting. Old traps die to make room for new ones. Only worry if new growth also turns black.

Usually underwatering. These plants need consistently moist soil. Check water level daily.

Could be mineral buildup from tap water or low humidity. Switch to distilled water. Increase humidity.

Not enough light. Venus Fly Traps need at least 4 hours of direct sun. Pitcher Plants need bright light.

Venus Fly Traps actually need a winter dormancy period (10 to 14 weeks at 5 to 10°C). An unheated garage, cool basement, or enclosed porch works. Pitcher Plants (Nepenthes) are tropical and prefer warm, humid conditions year-round.

One small insect per trap every 2 to 4 weeks. Or let them catch their own. Don't overfeed. Don't feed ground beef or other human food.
