An ideal spot for them in your home would be in the middle of a room with a standard-sized window, where they can receive indirect sunlight. They can be positioned anywhere between the center of the room and the window. Keep in mind that the growth of orchids is influenced by the amount of light they receive.

Orchids thrive when shielded from direct sunlight. Optimal conditions include filtered sunlight diffused through a sheer curtain, which is abundant in most homes. Ideal locations for orchids are those where they receive bright, indirect light for the majority of the day, promoting healthy growth and vibrant blooms.

Water your Phalaenopsis orchids thoroughly, allowing water to drain freely from the bottom of the pot. Ensure that excess water is removed from the saucer or cache pot to prevent root rot. Let the top inch of the potting mix dry out before watering again, typically every 7-10 days. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to fungal diseases and root rot.

Orchids thrive in environments with high humidity levels. Provide them with a daily misting or as frequent as possible to maintain optimal moisture. Alternatively, placing them near a humidifier or within a terrarium can also create the humid conditions they prefer. While they can tolerate lower humidity levels, inadequate moisture may cause their leaves to develop dry, crunchy, or yellow edges, though they will generally survive.
