Adorable

I received my string of turtle today, though I ordered a small one most of the leaves look healthy and happy I kind of wish it had a few more strands but I’m going to work hard to make sure it’s happy and healthy! For winter protection they wrapped it in cotton I’m super happy with all my plants so far!

Breathtaking!

The Stromanthe Triostar was the last plant I unwrapped from my second order from mygreenscape.ca. I gasped when I saw this beautiful plant with its long leaves of dark and light pink and green. The underside of the leaves are deep pink. And it has some stripes, especially underneath. She is very healthy and has a few new leaves unfurling. All the plants were packaged up very well. Thanks so much!

My ZZ :-)

I'm so happy to have received this ZZ plant. Originally I ordered four plants, then after looking at my order I realized 2 of the same plant was in my cart. So I contacted Mygreenscape.ca and it was just in time as the shipment hadn't gone out yet. So I was advised I could pick another plant so that is how I became a plant parent for my ZZ :-) I'm grateful for the kindness I received -Thank you Imtiaz!
This is a very healthy plant. It's tall with interesting and shiny leaves. So nice to have this plant. Thanks Mygreenscape.ca
p.s. I want to purchase the ZZ Raven with my next order.

How to Fix Common Air Purifying Plant Problems

Almost always mineral buildup from tap water. Areca Palms and Dracaena are especially sensitive. Flush the soil with distilled or rainwater every few weeks and it should clear up.

Usually overwatering or a sudden temperature change. Check if the soil is soggy. If so, let it dry completely before watering again. Also check for cold drafts near windows.

Spider mites. They love dry indoor air. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth and increase humidity. Severe cases need insecticidal soap.

On older plants, this is normal. New growth pushes energy upward. If it's happening on young leaves, check for overwatering or root rot.

Yes. NASA's 1989 Clean Air Study and University of Technology Sydney 2022 research both confirm it. Plants like Snake Plant, Peace Lily, and Spider Plant remove formaldehyde, benzene, and other volatile organic compounds. For noticeable results, aim for one medium plant per 10 square metres. They won't replace ventilation but they measurably supplement it. Especially in Canadian winters when homes are sealed tight. Check our full air purifying collection.

Snake Plant. Hands down. It tolerates low light, survives irregular watering, handles dry Canadian winter air, and is one of the most effective air cleaners. Our easy grower collection has more beginner-proof options.

Some are, some aren't. Spider Plant, Boston Fern, and Areca Palm are non-toxic. Peace Lily, Snake Plant, and Pothos are toxic if ingested. Verify on the ASPCA toxic plant database or browse our pet-friendly collection.

About one medium-sized plant per 10 square metres. A typical Canadian living room needs 2 to 3 plants. Pro tip? Use different species. Each targets different toxins. Snake Plant plus Peace Lily plus Spider Plant covers the widest range.

Absolutely. They're tropical plants that naturally thrive indoors. The main challenges are low humidity from central heating and reduced daylight. Group plants together to raise local humidity, move them closer to windows, and reduce watering since growth slows. Our plant care guides cover seasonal adjustments in detail.
