Collection: ZZ Plants

Add Bold Green Structure with ZZ Plants

ZZ Plants are tough, attractive, and perfect for low-key indoor greenery. With glossy, waxy leaves and a forgiving nature, they help clean the air and thrive even in low light spots. Our collection features popular varieties like Raven ZZ (deep purple black foliage), Super Nova (extra large leaves), and the classic Zamioculcas Zamiifolia.

Care tip:  ZZ plants do well in average humidity, so misting isn’t necessary. They grow slowly, so repot every 2-3 years when they outgrow their pot.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your ZZ plant is showing signs of root rot, such as mushy or yellowing stems, you need to remove it from the pot. Trim away any rotting roots with sterile scissors, and repot the plant in fresh, well draining soil. Ensure the new pot has drainage holes, and allow the plant to dry out for a few days before watering again.

Black, soft tips on your ZZ plant’s leaves are a sign of overwatering or poor drainage. These plants are drought tolerant and can’t tolerate soggy roots. Let the soil dry completely before watering, and check the drainage to ensure the water isn’t accumulating at the bottom of the pot.

ZZ plants grow slowly, but you can promote new growth by ensuring they receive bright, indirect light and moderate watering. Fertilizing once every two months during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer can also encourage new growth.

Yes, ZZ plants can thrive in bathrooms with low light and high humidity. As long as the space is warm and well-ventilated, the humidity will actually help the plant grow healthier. Avoid letting the plant sit in excess moisture, and ensure it gets indirect light.

To propagate a ZZ plant from leaf cuttings, take a healthy leaf with part of the stem attached. Let the cutting dry for a few days to prevent rot, then place it in a container with water. Change the water every few days. After a few weeks, roots will begin to form, and you can transplant the cutting into a small pot with well draining soil.
