About This Plant

Variegated English Ivy (Hedera helix variegated) is native to Europe and western Asia. Indoors it prefers bright to medium indirect light and cooler temperatures, making it one of the few trailing plants that actually thrives in the cooler conditions from October onward.

Suits both modern and traditional interiors. Few trailing plants have the same widely recognised and versatile aesthetic as English Ivy. The variegated version adds the white or cream edge that makes the leaves read more brightly than the plain green species.

Keep it away from pets and children. The ASPCA confirms Hedera helix is toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. The leaves contain triterpenoid saponins and polyacetylene compounds that cause vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, and abdominal pain if ingested. Keep it out of reach of pets and small children.
