About This Plant

Dracaena Malaika Lime is a cultivar in the Dracaena family native to tropical Africa. It grows in an upright, slightly arching form reaching 60 to 90 cm tall indoors. Like all Dracaenas it is drought tolerant, slow growing, and handles the dry air better than most tropical plants.

The lime-green against a deeper green background looks pretty. The Malaika Lime has a similar character to the Lemon Lime but with a slightly different distribution and contrast of the lime striping against the darker green. The combination gives it a warm, lit quality that suits a bright room.

Keep it away from pets and children. The ASPCA confirms Dracaena spp. is toxic to cats and dogs. The plant contains saponins that cause vomiting, excessive drooling, weakness, and loss of appetite. In cats, ingestion can also cause dilated pupils. Keep it out of reach of pets and small children.
