Sun: Indirect

This plant thrives in medium to bright light but can tolerate slightly lower levels. Avoid placing it in very dark corners. Variegation fades in low light, so aim for a bright spot that’s not too intense.

Light: Bright

Peperomia Caperata Variegata prefers indirect sunlight. They enjoy some morning or filtered light, but harsh direct sun can fade or burn the variegated leaves. Place near a north or east-facing window.

Water: When mostly dry

Allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry before watering. This Peperomia is semi-succulent, which means it stores water in its leaves and is sensitive to overwatering. Water sparingly, especially in cooler months.

Humidity: Any

Peperomia Caperata Variegata is quite adaptable and tolerates average indoor humidity well. However, it appreciates a light misting or nearby humidifier in very dry environments.

Pet Friendly: Yes

Yes — Peperomia Caperata Variegata is non-toxic and safe for pets like cats and dogs. Always monitor pets that like to nibble on plants just to be safe.

Pro Tip

Rotate the pot every week or two to ensure even growth and prevent the plant from leaning toward the light. Also, use a well-draining soil mix to protect the roots from staying too wet.

Your Complete Guide to Pot Sizes: What Size Should You Choose?

When selecting a pot for your plant, it's important to find the right size. But with all the different options out there, how do you know which one is best? We're here to help!

MyGreenscape's pot sizes chart is a great resource for finding your perfect fit. Our easy-to-read chart takes out all the guesswork and helps you quickly choose the right size for your plant.

Smaller pots are best for seedlings or small plants just starting out. These tend to be shallow but wide, allowing enough room for the roots of the young plant but not too much where they get overcrowded. Medium-sized pots are ideal when your plant has grown from its infancy and is ready for more space. These are deeper and wider than small pots, so that it can accommodate larger root systems - making sure your plant gets enough nourishment while still giving it breathing room. Large pots are top choice if you have an established plant in need of lots of space - think trees and large shrubs! The spacious depth and width allow plenty of room for deep root systems without struggling for air or light.

No matter what size you choose, MyGreenscape has got you covered, with our pot sizes chart guaranteeing you find the perfect fit every time!

Beautiful Plant But Was Slightly Overwatered

This is the first plant that I bought from Mygreenscape and it arrived in great condition. However, I like to check my plants roots when I get new one and it seems some of the roots and some of the stems were showing some signs of rot. Mind you, it was in a box for a few days so it could have been lack of airflow/light from shipping. I have repotted it and it is adjusting now, I am otherwise very happy with the quality of the plant I received!
