Agave Blue Glow is a hybrid succulent (Agave attenuata x Agave ocahui) from the deserts of Mexico. Each thick, blue-green leaf forms a tight rosette with a bright red edge and a thin yellow line that glows when sunlight hits it. It survives months without water and dry forced-air heat, which makes it one of the easier plants to keep in a Canadian home.

A sunny window is all it needs. Place it near a south- or west-facing window and it holds its shape for years without extra effort. It handles dry winter air in Ontario and Quebec homes without a humidifier. The Fishbone Cactus is another good pick for bright Canadian spots.
