About This Plant

Ficus Aspera Variegata is native to the Pacific Islands, where it grows in warm, humid tropical conditions. No two leaves have the same distribution of colour. It grows in an upright shrubby form reaching 60 to 120 cm tall indoors. It is one a visually distinctive Ficus available.

The rough, sandpaper-like leaf texture is unique. Every other common Ficus has smooth or glossy leaves. Ficus Aspera has a rough, textured upper surface that is unmistakable to the touch and catches light differently from every angle.

Keep it away from pets and children. The ASPCA confirms Ficus spp. is toxic to cats and dogs. The milky latex sap causes oral irritation, drooling, and vomiting if ingested. Skin contact can cause dermatitis. Wear gloves when pruning. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.
