String of Beads thrives in bright light conditions. An ideal indoor location would be on a windowsill or a stool placed near a window, whether with or without blinds, depending on the plant's sun tolerance. Keep in mind that the growth of the plant is influenced by the amount of light it receives.

Position the String of Beads plant away from direct sunlight, but it can tolerate early morning or late evening sun. Optimal conditions involve filtered sunlight through a sheer curtain, considering that most homes provide predominantly indirect sunlight. Choose a location where the plant isn't exposed to direct sunlight for the majority of the day, yet still receives vibrant, indirect light.

String of Beads prefers the soil to be thoroughly dry before the next watering, which may extend up to 4 weeks in a typical home setting. However, this duration can vary based on the season, your specific environment, and lighting conditions. It's generally safer to underwater and only water when signs of dehydration, such as wrinkling or soft leaves, become apparent. Adjust watering frequency slightly upward during the warmer months.

String of Beads has a low humidity requirement, so avoid misting or placing them in a terrarium.

You can feel comfortable having String of Beads plant around your home in the potential case where your pet feels like nibbling on it. However, we typically recommend keeping your pets from eating any of your houseplants.
