I received my string of turtle today, though I ordered a small one most of the leaves look healthy and happy I kind of wish it had a few more strands but I’m going to work hard to make sure it’s happy and healthy! For winter protection they wrapped it in cotton I’m super happy with all my plants so far!

The Stromanthe Triostar was the last plant I unwrapped from my second order from mygreenscape.ca. I gasped when I saw this beautiful plant with its long leaves of dark and light pink and green. The underside of the leaves are deep pink. And it has some stripes, especially underneath. She is very healthy and has a few new leaves unfurling. All the plants were packaged up very well. How to Care for Your Air Purifying Plants

From November to February, daylight in Ontario and Quebec drops below 9 hours. Your plants slow down. That's normal. Move them closer to windows but keep them 15 cm away from cold glass. Rotate pots monthly so all sides get light. Never place anything directly above a heating vent.

How to Fix Common Air Purifying Plant Problems

Almost always mineral buildup from tap water. Areca Palms and Dracaena are especially sensitive. Flush the soil with distilled or rainwater every few weeks and it should clear up.

Usually overwatering or a sudden temperature change. Check if the soil is soggy. If so, let it dry completely before watering again. Also check for cold drafts near windows.

Spider mites. They love dry indoor air. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth and increase humidity. Severe cases need insecticidal soap.

On older plants, this is normal. New growth pushes energy upward. If it's happening on young leaves, check for overwatering or root rot.
